History Founded in 1899, Viking FK are one of Norway's oldest and most successful clubs, and their dark blue shirts are tied directly to Stavanger's identity on the North Sea coast. The club ended a long wait in 2025 by winning the Eliteserien for the ninth time and the first time since 1991, sealing the title with a 5-1 win over Valerenga on 30 November in front of a packed Viking Stadion. That championship season was built on a 16-match unbeaten run and 22 wins from 30 games, with Peter Christiansen top scoring on 14 league goals. Trainin
